Direct Comfort by Goodman Air Conditioners
Ducted Air-to-Air Heat Pumps
As the name suggests, air-to-air heat pumps rely on air as a medium of heat transfer. These heat pumps involve two units—a unit placed indoors and a unit placed outdoors. Air-to-air heat pumps are more energy-efficient compared to other heating systems. However, they have a higher upfront cost, require a backup source of heat (such as a gas or electric furnace), and aren’t as efficient in extremely low temperatures.
Ductless/Mini-Split Heat Pumps
These heat pumps are designed for homes that don’t have ducts. They involve two parts, which include an indoor and outdoor unit. Instead of the duct system, ductless heat pumps use small openings cut into the walls to connect the outside and inside units. The indoor unit is often mounted on the walls and then has a line set that connects them to the outdoor unit.
Hybrid Heat Pumps
Also referred to as dual fuel heat pumps, hybrid heat pumps are heat pumps that switch between energy sources depending on which one is more efficient at a given time. These heat pumps are efficient all year round, making up for where most traditional heat pumps fall short.

HVAC installation requires electrical, gas and refrigerant knowledge as well as familiarity with local bylaws and building codes. Failure to properly install HVAC equipment can create safety concerns and performance issues as well as void manufacturer warranties. For those reasons, Canada HVAC always recommends professional installation.
You are not required to book installation through Canada HVAC and can use a local installer if you prefer. Just remember that manufacturer warranties will be invalidated if the HVAC equipment is not professionally installed.
